Physics major presents his research at Rice University

Tibbs presenting his research

Joseph Tibbs, a senior physics and biochemistry major, was invited to present his research at the Gulf Coast Undergraduate Research Symposium hosted by Rice University on November 2, 2019. The symposium is an interdisciplinary and inter-institutional forum for undergraduate students to share the results of their original research. Tibbs's presentation, titled KERA: A Data Analysis Suite for Multi-Channel and Multi-State SM-TIRFM Binding Experiments, is based on work done under the supervision of Physics faculty member Dr. Ali Tabei in collaboration with Dr. Maria Spies at the University of Iowa. The symposium was also a wonderful opportunity for Tibbs to interact with undergraduate students and faculty from other institutions to discuss research and future graduate studies.
